Comparison of heat- and alcohol- based disinfection. aE. coli and bM. smegmatis bacterial cultures were treated with heat (70 °C and 80 °C for 5 and 10 min), ethanol (75% and 85% for 0.5 and 1 min) and propan-2-ol (75% and 85% for 0.5 and 1 min), followed by CFU plating on respective agar media.
