Serotonin levels in the murine intestinal and brain tissue samples. Significantly decreased levels of serotonin were observed in brain tissues of mice infected with Salmonella. L. plantarum (RTA 8) treated group demonstrated a significant increase in the level of serotonin in the brain as well as the intestinal tissue samples.
