  1. Data are presented for the agent evaluated in this study, the "Growth Enhancer" Monensin. Data are given for a representative experiment of each mycobacterial strain studied. Note the dose dependent inhibition in every mycobacterial strain except M. avium subspecies avium 101. The dose dependent inhibition was observed in each of the 21 experiments where MAP was the strain studied (replicative data not presented.) %–ΔcGI = Percent decrease in cumulative Growth Index compared to solvent control (see Methods.)
